The Museum staff knows that many grandparents were stamp collectors when they were younger and some still are collecting.
The staff invites these grandparents to bring their grandchildren to the Museum during regular Museum hours in June to share the joy and excitement of collecting.
All children will receive a special packet with information about how to start a stamp collection plus plenty of free stamps and a beginner’s stamp album.
United States commemorative stamps starting from the 1930’s will be on display and hopefully will bring back some memories for the grandparents to share.
Adults are also urged to bring some of their stamps with them as a way of helping remember some of the fond memories they have about collecting when they were young.
